NatureBasics
bv02 worked with Nature Canada to develop a new brand and website for the NatureBasics initiative, a unique project seeking species sightings from the general public in Ontario.
In partnership with Ontario Parks and the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Nature Canada developed NatureBasics as one of the first citizen-science portals in this province. It allowed website visitors to record their data about various flora and fauna, and view sightings on a map. The results from the findings helped scientists to detect trends in the distribution of species across Ontario.
