Teknision, We Are Embedded
With the campaign’s engaging use of technology-oriented videos, blog posts and website, Teknision was able to position itself as a company of thought leaders in the mobile industry.
Ottawa-based firm Teknision (now Synacor) came to bv02 with a challenge. This award-winning mobile development company, focused on creating transformative user experiences, needed to differentiate itself within the technology sector. bv02’s answer: the We Are Embedded campaign.
This integrated marketing campaign aimed to raise the company’s visibility and show that they weren’t just a standard mobile development firm. It needed to be clear that they were concerned about more than user experience, that they were thinking about the technology and how it made a difference to businesses.
The We Are Embedded campaign was built around a blog-style web hub that connects users with a series of videos about the ideas fuelling Teknision’s products and its leadership. These videos focus on the company’s President, Gabor Vida, interviewing well-known industry pundits about their work, current trends in technology and new ideas in mobile development. The interviewed industry leaders included contacts from Motorola, Google, and Barnes and Noble. Aligning himself and Teknision with such heavyweights allowed him not only to position himself well, but to leverage their networks to redistribute the videos.
bv02 was instrumental in developing and executing the We Are Embedded campaign. We developed the concept, shot and produced the videos, created a bumper intro that explained the embedded layer, and helped develop the scripts. bv02 also built the website, wrote blog posts and helped use the social interactions to redistribute and create new social channels outside of Teknision. In short, bv02 set up the platform, all the way forward to the distribution of the content and helped them track and manage the content for nine months.

Indeed, the We Are Embedded campaign ultimately allowed Teknision to prove itself as a company that could act on an international stage.
